(This review refers to the VC version/release.)

I remember this game being great back in the day. You know what? It still is. (I remember it being incredibly hard too. It still is.)

It's very, very, VERY disappointing that you can’t play this game with the wiimote. I mean, come on! The gameplay only uses TWO buttons! Why do we need a classic controller or a GameCube controller? Beats me. Oh well. Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts on the Wii’s Virtual Console is exactly like I remember it.

The graphics are crisp and clean and the gameplay is incredibly hard. For me it was worth the purchase price, but if you don’t have fond memories of this game (or any memories of this game) just skip it. It's amazingly hard, but cool. The game is surprisingly addictive, however that may just be me.

My advice is to play someone else's copy first.

Final Thought:

  Incredibly hard.
