"Perils of Wisdom"

by Dom B.
2001.11.12

Today I had three times my normal caffeine intake, because, hey, I needed it. I'm in an odd netherworld: I'm tired, and I want to go back to sleep, but also all my molecules are vibrating at some strange frequency and I can't stop this leg from bouncing.

So as a treat we're having some more haiku this week. Haiku, if you haven't read the previous haiku column or if you just don't know, is the Japanese word for porn.

just loving yourself
sometimes can be difficult
when you have no porn

Yeah, I guess this is a pretty thinly veiled hint at what I've been thinking of lately.

meeting girls in bars
a bad idea lately
since i don't shower

Or it at least seems that way. Maybe it's my new cologne. It's called
"Flat Broke".

the longest journey
begins with a single step
or, hey, stay in bed

Well, maybe it's just that I don't like people.

grand theft auto III
would make me quit my job
and seek more therapy

Wow, that game just makes me want to buy a Playstation 2. And laugh, laugh, laugh. And hurt people.

has anyone seen
charisma carpenter on WB's 'angel'
man, that broad is hot

yes sir, you are correct sir.

Okay, and one last bit of joy to keep you enlightened:

oh beautiful winter
your everlasting stillness
no more guilt over not leaving the house for about 3 weeks
