"Insides Napping"

Well my friends, here we are again, another day, another week, another year.
When I sat down to write this article, I had another intention in mind... what that was, I forget, because in the process of starting up my laptop, I popped in a CD, a CD that Ted S. created for me.
And whatever it was that I was going to write about doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
The topic during our time together this week will be work.
Work sucks, but it’s a fact of life. Money rules this heartless planet, so without it, you will die.
So, getting up everyday and going to work is a painful reality that I have come to accept.
Work is a sneaky bastard.
It takes your time. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. We all have just blacked out that time from our schedule.
But work takes something from us that may not be so obvious. Work takes our brain’s time.
You may all be scratching your head and going "huh?". Well if your reading this after a hard day at work, I’m not surprised.
Your brain can only do so much, and when its working hard for 8 hours a day, by the time you get home, you’re brain is tired, exhausted and ready for bed.
So as our brains nap, we watch the prime time crap on TV, or surf the Internet or some other mind-numbing task.
Then around bedtime, our brains all wake up again. And you either, feed your brain when it wakes from its nap, or you sleep, and let your brain fill your head full of fantasies.
So, you see as I type this, my brain is awaking from is evening nap, full of ideas, and life.
Too bad its 11:30 and my body is tired. And that’s why I hate work.
Not because it takes up time in my day. Because it tires out my mind, and then limits and
boundaries are on my life after work.
But I have developed a way of fighting back.
My plan is, to have my brain sleep at work, and then awaken just as work is over.
Only one problem, if my brain is sleeping during normal working hours, I may not perform, hence I’ll get fired.
Who cares, jobs come and go. But you must capture creativity when it strikes you.
Uh, oh... it appears our time is up. Thanks for the session. I needed it.
