"Top Ten Favorite Groups Of All Time"

Well gang, here is my top ten favorite groups of all time. There really are 2 ways you can
approach this: sit down and really consider all the bands you have ever
listened and then weigh them against each other, or just shoot from the
hip and let the chips fall where they may. Well I'm shooting from the hip
guys so here we go!!!!!!
10. Staind - I really like these guys.
Break the Cycle has got to be one of the best albums to come out in
the "alternative" genre in years. Staind mixes acoustic rock
with hard edged lyrics/music to create a completely diff vibe. Look for
these guys to be the next Alice in Chains or Pearl Jam.(Aaron Lewis
actually has a version of "Black" out now)
09. David Bowie - Definitely a new
edition to my list. I was sitting at the club (yes I joined a club, god
I'm
FFFFFFF old] the other night with a couple of my friends, and I played
"Rebel, Rebel" totally thinking my friends would ridicule me
(one likes Nascar, the other likes punk, and one's a Van Halen fan.) To my
astonishment everybody sang along, which goes to show you: Bowie is
universal!!!!
08. The Doors - Jim Morrison is/was a
genius.
07. Dr. Dre - Yeah I know not a group,
but he's here nonetheless. I know I know. A rapper. What can I say. Dre.
has been around the game for years and his shit is still great. Whether it
be old school NWA, Death Row records era beats, or new shit with Eminem or
Snoop, Dre lays down beats like no other. He kicks P Diddy's ass any day!
06. NIN - Trent Reznor is hands down,
one of the most talented musicians in the world today. He never ceases to
amaze me with the variety and complexity of the music he puts out. Plus
NIN live shows are amazing. They only play for like 1 hour and a 1/2, not
your usual 2-3 hour show. But if they played any longer Trent would
definitely
FFFFFFF explode. It's that intense.
05. The Who - I have only one thing to
say "Tommy can you hear me??" Well two things. Pete Townsend
actually impaled his hand on his whammy bar one time during a show. Now
that's intense.
04. Sarah McLaughlin - She's a hot
chick. What can I say. I love her music. Besides, tell any chick you like
Sarah and she is definitley yours!!!
03. The Grateful Dead .........Ha HA
HA HA HA HA. Just kidding!!!!!
03. The Clarks - I love the Clarks.
Just plain old rock n roll. I really can't get enough of these guys. Live
shows are just awesome. If they don;t make it big I will be really
dissappointed. And there hometown boys!!!! Their new album will be out
soon. Look for it!!!!
02. Pink Floyd - Stoner music!!!!!
Pink Floyd is the most amazing band to come out of the 60's. Their music
just flows through me every time I hear it. It's great whether your high
or straight(though some songs are way better when your wasted, Cigar for
one). Pink Floyd live is definitely one of he best shows I have ever saw.
Pink Floyd rules.
01. Well like this is any kind of a secret. Ron has Pearl Jam. John
has NIN. I have
METALLICA. Yeah I know
they suck now but, favorite groups of all time, it's Metallica. Hey I've
loved them for years. I've been listening to metallica for about 14 years
now and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every minute of it. I was a
metalhead in high school and this band has stuck with me through the
years. Metallica live is just amazing. There is so much energy that they
pour out to you and then you give it right back to them. It's is just too
much to describe James Hetfield's vocals and lyrics still amaze me. Kirk
Hammett, definitely the best guitarist of all time. Lars Ulrich....well
he's an asshole, but what can you do. These 3 are the defining members of
Metallica. It will be interesting to see if they can make a comeback after
the trials of the last year. But I'm sure they will have something new and
great soon.
Well that's my list. If you like some of the bands, cool. If not, oh well, it's my list!!!!
