EPILOGUE:
That only leaves one thing that I don't understand. The X's. Agent X appears on the scene
(in Agent X issue #1) beat up. Ok, it could have happened trying to get out of the wreckage
of the Black Swan's mansion, which had exploded with him/them inside. That accounts for the
scrapes and bruises, but what about the X's? They appear purposely placed on the top of his
head and his face.
And why don't the X's disappear? With a healing factor that seems to be able to heal any
wound Agent X acquires (as seen throughout Agent X issue #1), why don't the X's on his skull
and face disappear after some time?
It has been proposed that MAYBE THEY'RE NATURAL, like birthmarks. The healing factor heals
wounds, but doesn't change the body's essential makeup. That makes sense, but the X's look
too perfect (although ragged). They're placed too precisely.
That explanation is also too reality-based, too simple. I read comic books. I know comic
books. I know the answers are more complicated than that.
(In editing this piece, I totally disagree with my final comments. Comic books sometimes
explain things with absolutely no "common sense". It all depends on the writer.)
