"Coffee Thoughts"

On this day in history...I drank coffee.
Actually, I'm drinking a cup of
Wendy's coffee. The cup says "premium blend", but I just ordered "a small cup of coffee". I added two creamers and two sugars. (not that I have anything against the taste; this morning I felt like having a little sweeter of a drink)
I'm sitting here with my "sausage flatbread sandwich something-or-other" and a cup of coffee. I like both and would order them again. But wait, isn't this supposed to be all about coffee? Well, I am an American and so eating fatty meat was sure to be in here somewhere.
ANYWAY, without further ado, here are my
personal bitterness rankings on the coffee places in the immediate area.
Last updated: 2011.11.14
| brand (location) |
| | Starbucks |
| | Denny's |
| /\ | | Seattle's Best 2 ('Subway', 'Borders') |
more bitter | | homemade coffee at the 'Hometown Restaurant' or work |
| | Dunkin Donuts |
| | Wendy's "Premium Blend" 1 |
| | flavored coffee machine ('On The Go' convenience store at 'BP' gasoline stations, 'Kcafe' at 'Kmart') |
less bitter | | Wendy's "Redhead Roasters" |
| \/ | | McDonald's |
| | Donut Connection |
| | Sheetz |
These I have yet to try:
1 It often tastes "burnt". The cup says "fresh brewed"...I think it was, hours ago.
2 Seattle has good grunge music, not so good coffee. I only order their fancier coffee drinks to "sweeten-up" the taste.
